Like a good, very loving Mother, she cries for her children.Since this book was first printed there have been new manifestations of weeping images and such weepings continue to increase. The most striking increase of tearing Marian images has been those of Rosa Mystica statues. We give some examples. In a second Belgian home, that of Florice Ivens-Albert Lemucke, in Montenaken, a Rosa Mystica statue has wept a number of times. The Blessed Mother reportedly told Florice that she was to suffer. Subsequently her home burned and there was a motor vehicle accident in the family. In the meantime, since we first heard of the weepings of the Rosa Mystica statue in the home of Mrs. Linden-Schroeder at Maasmechelen, streams of blood have flowed from the eyes of an image of the Head of Christ there. At Montichiari-Fontanelle, near Brescia in Northern Italy, from which Rosa Mystica statues have spread around the world, several small statues of that title wept there during processions in Nov. 1985. One image wept so hard that all of the pilgrims witnessing it also were reported to have wept. On Dec. 8, 1985, feast of the Immaculate Conception, a wooden Rosa Mystica statue wept at Montichiari. In Ireland (Erie) in southside Dublin, in a working-class home, a 27" Rosa Mystica statue wept over a six day period beginning May 25, 1987. Twenty persons witnessed the same statute weeping in a convent hall. A similar Rosa Mystica statute wept in North Dublin in two homes of a middle class area. It wept for three days in one home, and in the second home off and on with prolonged weepings (Ave Maria report). A. Rosa Mystica Pilgrim Virgin statue wept tears of blood in Cork City, Ireland, Dec. 23, 1987. Thirty witnesses and a parish priest saw it.In Egypt, a Rosa Mystica statue has been reported as exuding a healing oil for some years (Opus Rosa Mystica, Essen, W. Germany, Oct. 1987). In a similar manner a crucifix in the Blue Mountains area of Australia has exuded healing oil. It began on Jan. 29, 1986. Earlie there was a miraculous oozing of oil, March 4, 1985, from a small plaster statute of St. Charbel. A little statue of our Lady of Lourdes on Feb. 4, 1986, also seeped oil from hands and feet and it continued running until May 21, 1986.Even Rosa Mystica photos have been reported as weeping. One, A-04 size, wept tears of blood in the village ...Read about all this and more in this book of beautiful, if a bit dated, photographs of Marian images and statues that have come alive with tears for her children.
